This gene encodes a type I membrane glycoprotein containing two extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane and a cytoplasmic domain. This gene is expressed by various cell types, including B cells, a subset of T cells, thymocytes, endothelial cells, and neurons. The encoded protein plays an important role in immunosuppression and regulation of anti-tumor activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. GeneCards Summary for CD200 Gene
CD200 (CD200 Molecule) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CD200 include Hairy Cell Leukemia and Bile Duct Cystadenoma. Among its related pathways are Innate Immune System and Class I MHC mediated antigen processing and presentation. An important paralog of this gene is NECTIN2.
UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Summary for CD200 Gene
