Ophthalmological findings include salt-and-pepper retinopathy, attenuation of the arterioles, generalized rod-cone dysfunction, mottled macula at an early age, and peripapillary sparing of the retinal pigment epithelium. {ECO:0000269 PubMed:24916380}.
