Previous GeneCards Identifiers for PPIC Gene
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase)) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. Similar to other PPIases, this protein can bind immunosuppressant cyclosporin A. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
GeneCards Summary for PPIC Gene
PPIC (Peptidylprolyl Isomerase C) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with PPIC include disseminated intravascular coagulation. GO annotations related to this gene include peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase activity and cyclosporin A binding. An important paralog of this gene is PPIB.
UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot for PPIC Gene
