Adrenomedullin is a potent vasodilator peptide that exerts major effects on cardiovascular function. This gene encodes a seven-transmembrane protein that belongs to the family 1 of G-protein coupled receptors. Studies of the rat counterpart suggest that the encoded protein may function as a receptor for adrenomedullin. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
GeneCards Summary for GPR182 Gene
GPR182 (G Protein-Coupled Receptor 182) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are Myometrial Relaxation and Contraction Pathways and Sympathetic Nerve Pathway (Neuroeffector Junction). GO annotations related to this gene include G-protein coupled receptor activity and transmembrane signaling receptor activity. An important paralog of this gene is ACKR3.
