    What is GeneCards

GeneCards® is an integrated database of human genes that includes automatically-mined genomic, proteomic and transcriptomic information, as well as orthologies, disease relationships, SNPs, gene expression, gene function, and service links for ordering assays and antibodies.

The search engine sorts this vast sea of information, and provides the user with only the relevant, yet very detailed, information.

    Quick Start

    1. Enter an expression into the search field on the GeneCards homepage and
click the Go button in order to begin the search.
Note: keywords search is the default search option.

    2. The Search Result page displays a MicroCard list of all genes matching your query.

    3. The MiniCard (notice the link at the top of the MicroCard list) displays the lines in every GeneCard consistant of your search term.

    4. Select the gene you wish to explore further, and
click its gene symbol link (on the left side of the MicroCard or MiniCard).
The GeneCard appears with all data concerning this gene.
